When to call a cardiac ambulance

  • Chest pain with sweating, breathlessness or radiating arm or jaw pain
  • Known cardiac patient with a sudden deterioration
  • Post-resuscitation transfer after a cardiac arrest
  • Transfer to a cath lab for primary angioplasty

When a different unit is better: Do not wait for an ambulance if the patient is unresponsive and not breathing — start CPR immediately, call us and call 108 in parallel, and keep the phone on speaker.

Routing a cardiac ambulance through Delhi

Delhi proper — the area inside the municipal boundary, from Dwarka in the south-west to Rohini and Pitampura in the north — carries India's heaviest concentration of tertiary hospitals, so most of our work here is inter-hospital critical care rather than scene response. A patient stabilised in a nursing home in Karol Bagh or Mayur Vihar is usually moved onward to AIIMS, Safdarjung, Ganga Ram or Max Saket, and those runs are dominated by Ring Road conditions rather than distance.

  • Ring Road and Outer Ring Road carry most critical transfers inside Delhi; the AIIMS–Safdarjung stretch is the usual delay point through the day, not only at peak.
  • Central Delhi around Connaught Place and Karol Bagh is slow between 10:00 and 20:00, so admissions from there are routed via Mathura Road wherever the receiving hospital allows.
  • Winter smog days materially slow surface movement; for time-critical cardiac cases we advise the nearest capable hospital rather than the preferred one.

Outstation runs from Delhi on this vehicle type most often go to Chandigarh, Jaipur, Dehradun, Lucknow. Those are quoted point to point before dispatch, with oxygen reserve, rest stops and crew arrangements planned for the distance.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Call or WhatsApp

One number, answered 24×7. Tell the coordinator the pickup landmark and what has happened — they confirm the right vehicle type and an honest ETA before the call ends.

  2. Step 2

    Nearest available unit dispatched

The platform assigns the closest contracted unit with the right equipment, not the closest unit of any kind. You get the crew's number and the vehicle registration.

  3. Step 3

    Tracked to hospital handover

The transfer is followed end to end, the receiving hospital is pre-informed, and the case closes only after a bed-to-bed handover is confirmed.

Cardiac Ambulance (ACLS) in Delhi — FAQs

Will the hospital know I am coming with a cardiac case?
Yes. The crew transmits the 12-lead ECG ahead and the coordinator pre-alerts the receiving cardiac unit so the cath lab team can prepare.
What should I do while the ambulance is on the way?
Keep the patient still and sitting up, loosen tight clothing, do not give food or water, and keep the line open. If the patient becomes unresponsive and stops breathing, start chest compressions immediately.
Do you cover all of Delhi, including Dwarka and Rohini?
Yes. Dwarka, Rohini, Pitampura, Janakpuri, south and central Delhi are all inside the Delhi service area, priced on one city band.
What if the patient needs to go to Gurugram or Noida instead?
That is a Delhi NCR run and we do it routinely — see our Delhi NCR page. There is no cross-border surcharge between Delhi and the NCR sectors we serve.
